Our handmade jewellery usually starts with a simple sketch and then technology can come into play. Using C.A.D, (computer aided design) we can create a photo realistic image of the proposed idea for your approval. We can make amazing pieces of jewellery with the help of a computer, whether it's a bespoke jewellery design or you would like your jewellery remodelling, using a computer saves time and therefore cost but not every jewellery design is created this way. Over the last 30 years we have seen some great advancements in technology, although nothing could ever replicate our handmade jewellery, using age old craftsmanship to make jewellery by hand, where the skill is with the goldsmith and not a mouse, we often design jewellery on a computer so that our clients can visualise the jewellery piece but we may make it by hand whichever way we create it, your unique jewellery piece will still be hand finished and set to the highest standards.

Many high street jewellers have little or no skill in the actual art of jewellery making and are only there to serve you, as knowledgeable as they may be on a certain product, they can only advise you on jewellery repairs and jewellery design, in most cases sending your jewellery item to an outsourced workshop, whereas at Lester and Brown, we are one of only a few working jewellers in Cheshire, not only can we advise correctly but we can carry out all the work required from our jewellery workshop in Poynton.
